The Three Chapters Project is striving to work with churches and ministries to exhort Bible believers to develop a daily Bible reading habit, among other spiritual disciplines.

The Problem We Hope To Affect

According to the American Bible Society’s 2020 State of the Bible Report, only 9% of survey respondents read their Bible on a daily basis.  And, it’s getting worse:  Bible engagement has consistently decreased over the past few years, and the trend only accelerated throughout the pandemic.

This trend is chilling, and we respectfully suggest every Pastor, Teacher, Elder, Deacon, Minister – anyone in a position of authority or influence in a church or ministry – should prayerfully consider the spiritual implications of this trend for the Church as a whole, local churches and ministries, and their congregants or constituents individually.

How We Hope To Affect It

The Three Chapters Project was conceived to encourage Bible-believing Christians to engage with the Bible by spending time daily reading and listening to scripture.  Every day we send an email, to all that join with us, that includes a link to a video with a reading of three or four chapters, along with the written words; so, by listening and reading along daily, a person will have heard and read the entire Bible over the course of a year.  The daily videos can be viewed on a computer, tablet, or even a smart phone.  To view a sample video click here.  For more details on the Three Chapters Project click here.

Why Your Church, Ministry, Small Group, Or Family Should Consider Joining Our Effort

While anyone is free to sign up individually to read through the Bible with us, our prayer is that church, small group, and ministry leaders will see the Three Chapters Project as a tool they can use to exhort their members to read the Bible as a group.  Our system is set up so that if a church, ministry, or small group registers with the Project, they will receive a link to a registration form that is unique to their organization.  When shared with their membership, everyone registering through that link will automatically be associated with their group and enrolled in the course they are following.

Why We Believe This Is Important

This video, produced by the folks at The Bible Project, does an excellent job of explaining how regular corporate Bible reading is scriptural, and can bless both a congregation and individual believers.  Please take three minutes to watch the video and, if you like the content, find more of their work at bibleproject.com.

We Are Launching Soon

Please note that the Three Chapters Project website functionality is in the final stages of development as we prepare to promote the Project and begin accepting registrations on or before June 23, with the intention of sending daily chapters emails to our subscribers beginning on August 1.  Be aware that we use present tense language throughout the website even though our official operation has yet to begin.
